How To Distinguish The Front And Back Of The Mask?
The medical-surgical mask adopts a three-layer fabric design, of which the front is a waterproof layer, the middle is a filter layer, and the reverse is a water-absorbing layer. If the mask is worn backward, the mask can easily get wet and lose its filtering function.
How do distinguish the front and back of the mask?
The front of the mask is the non-clearing surface, facing the outside world. The reverse side is the clearing side, facing the wearer.
Before determining the front and back of the mask, you need to determine the top and bottom of the mask.
There is a nose bridge strip on the mask, which is used to jam the nose bridge and prevent gaps after wearing the mask, so the side with the nose bridge strip is the top of the mask.
After confirming that the mask is up and down, observe the color of the mask.
If the mask worn is not white, such as a blue medical surgical mask, then it is very simple to distinguish the positive and negative of the mask, just look at the color. Blue (dark) is the front of the mask, facing the outside world; light color is the reverse, facing the wearer himself.
Then, if you have a white medical surgical mask in hand, how can you distinguish the front and back of the mask?
Then comprehensively look at the printing, material, and pleat direction of the mask to judge the front and back of the mask.
The print or logo of the mask is generally printed on the front of the mask.
In addition, an obvious lattice can be seen on the front of the mask, the material is tougher, thicker, and more durable, and can prevent liquid splashing. The material on the reverse side is smooth and soft.
If the front and back of the mask cannot be determined through printing and mask material, it is best to judge by the direction of the mask pleats.
After finding the nose bridge of the mask, observe how many pleats the mask has.
If it is three pleats, the side of the pleat downwards is the front of the mask.
If there are four pleats, the second pleat near the nose bridge is upward, and the downward side of the second pleat away from the nose bridge is the front of the mask.
